This fast-paced, hands-on course supports aspiring fashion creatives in developing or refining a personal portfolio. Over two weeks students explore research, illustration, concept development, and layout, culminating in a portfolio section that demonstrates their creative thinking and design process. Ideal for students preparing for fashion-related degree applications or building a personal body of work.

Materials
• A3/A4 sketchbooks
• Drawing paper (loose and mounted)
• Pencils (HB–6B), coloured pencils, fine liners
• Charcoal, chalk pastels, ink, watercolours, markers
• Glue sticks, masking tape, scissors, rulers
• Fabric scraps, magazines, collage materials
• Access to digital tools (laptops/tablets optional but ideal)
• USB drives or cloud storage access for digital files
• Mounting boards or printouts for final presentation
Tutor
Francesco Poiana is an artist and an educator who lives and works between Londond and Italy. He studied Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, then obtained a Master of Fine Arts at the Central Saint Martins in London and joined the Royal Drawing School in 2019.
Francesco lives and works between Italy and the UK, and he exhibited his work in the UK and internationally. Franceso has 5 years extensive experience teaching short courses at Central Sain Martin London including drawing and portfolio preparation. He writes bespoke courses preparing and mentoring students for successful art university applications.
